Message: I moved to Ruskin about 8 years ago and I finally visited Apollo Meats for the first time today. I was very happy with what I saw.. Coming here brought back memories of shopping at the local Hornung Meats with my grandmother back in the 1980s.. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were lower than most of the grocery stores around and the lunch meat was just perfect (turkey pastrami and Amish of the bone ham). They have everything you want or need concerning meat.. They also have kabobs and cinnamon rolls. Oh.. and they have some local produce as well.. I can't wait to try the mountain kielbasa I bought.. I will definitely be back.

Message: OMG! I have died and went to heaven! This is the best meat store you will ever find! 5 **** all the way around. The blue cheese hamburger is delicious. The blue cheese is the best I've ever tasted. Soft creamy not to pungent but taste great. The BACON is out of this world! Can't Beat the prices. Service is fantastic! Believe the reviwes. You will not be sorry!

Message: Too much signage everywhere and too many products, in a very small space. Very overwhelming as a 1st timer in the store. Publix has a larger fresh seafood section. It might be another 20 years before I go back. It was completely awful. But it wasn't completely great. Good news is there was no smell.. all pretty fresh. :).

Message: If you need something to grill, smoke, or fry, this is your place. They have a great selection of meat plus bbq sauces, dry rubs, and other assorted fixings. The people are helpful and friendly. Be sure to take a number when you first walk in though.

Message: First and foremost, customer service is outstanding. The store is very clean and well organized. So much to choose from. Bison to venison, gator meat, lamb, homemade sausages, fresh meats and cheeses, spices, very good beef jerky, and other mouthwatering menu items. So please stop in and see what I love about this business.

Message: Apollo Meats has an incredible selection of beef. All beef is either USDA Choice or Prime, with the exception of their Wagyu (which has some other grading system I am unfamiliar with since my wife won’t let me get Wagyu even though I ask nicely and believe I deserve it). I stick with the filet, often getting a whole Prime tenderloin. The prices do fluctuate based on the market, but a whole tenderloin is usually 19. 99 a pound and it goes a long way. Their ranch of choice is a family-run, midwestern cattle farm that supplies corn-fed and grass-fed beef that is of the highest quality. If you are a big fan of burgers, I recommend mixing the ground sirloin and the ground chuck at a 50/50 ratio; It's the perfect amount of flavor and juiciness.. Many of the cuts are not labeled, so, if you do not know what type of steak it is, just ask. The staff are super friendly, well informed, and are always happy to answer any questions.. They have elk, buffalo, and other type of meat for the more daring, and they also have a decent selection of chicken. They have a small selection of seafood; however, what they have is of the highest quality. They have a couple of types of shrimp, usually including Gulf jumbo pinks. Salmon, grouper, and snapper are almost always in stock. For some reason they don’t label it, but the grouper is black, which they should advertise as a strong selling point (but if you know your fish, it is obvious since the filets are so thick).. ***. When there is a monthly induced iron reduction and a corresponding diminution of, shall we say, positivity, strong steps need to be taken.. Hoping a 37-ounce Tomahawk is the remedy.
